Diana Zeitzer

Diana Zeitzer brings more than 11 years of experience in the public relations field to her work as a communications director for Concepts, Inc. Ms. Zeitzer works primarily on DisabilityInfo.gov, an initiative managed by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) that serves as the federal government’s gateway to disability-related information and resources. Her responsibilities include developing and maintaining Web site content; conducting outreach, coordination and training activities with federal agency partners, non-profit organizations, and state and local government agencies; writing promotional materials and developing media outreach strategies.

Prior to joining Concepts, Ms. Zeitzer provided communications advice and counsel to the United States International Council on Disabilities (USICD), a Washington, D.C.-based non-profit disability rights organization. Her work with USICD included reviewing the organization’s Web site and developing a plan for additions and improvements, drafting Web site content and creating a promotional brochure.  Ms. Zeitzer also acted as a communications consultant for Disability Policy Solutions, an independent public policy consulting company, where she created promotional materials including the company’s logo, brochure and Web site content. Previously, Ms. Zeitzer spent four years as an account manager at Widmeyer Communications, an independent public relations firm in Washington, D.C. At Widmeyer, Ms. Zeitzer supported education clients such as the National Association for Bilingual Education and the U.S. Department of Education Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). She also worked closely with corporate clients such as Coca-Cola, Channel One, Inc. and the Ford Motor Company to promote their education initiatives to the media, education associations and leaders and the general public.

Prior to Widmeyer Communications, Ms. Zeitzer worked as a press assistant for the public affairs department of the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) - the government agency responsible for overseeing the AmeriCorps, Senior Corps and Learn and Serve America volunteer programs. In addition, Ms. Zeitzer spent a year with Idea Television, the Washington, DC affiliate of the Brazilian news station, Globo. Ms. Zeitzer graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in media studies with a concentration in film and television studies.
