Gregg Rapaport
Gregg Rapaport brings 20 years of strategic communications expertise to Concepts, Inc. With broad knowledge of public relations, marketing, advertising, partnership building, community development, and educational program creation, he applies both targeted skills and holistic thinking to client engagements. Mr. Rapaport is proficient at analyzing, planning, and implementing programs at the local, regional, national, and international levels. He has worked for diverse government, international development, and private sector organizations.
Mr. Rapaport is helping advance the U.S. Department of Labor’s Working Partners for an Alcohol- and Drug-Free Workplace initiative. He is researching and creating an updated one-stop Web resource that will help employers understand the relevant legal framework and will steer them toward resources available at the state level.
Additionally, he is part of the Concepts, Inc. team that continues to develop DisabilityInfo.gov, an initiative managed by the U.S. Department of Labor. His responsibilities include Web and public relations outreach to those audiences who can benefit from the federal government’s gateway to disability-related information and resources.
With a honed ability to distill key messages and deliver compelling stories, Mr. Rapaport supports Concepts as a media relations expert. High-profile coverage for clients has been obtained from a wide variety of outlets that include New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CNN, ABC, CBS, and Diane Rehm Show.
Mr. Rapaport has consulted to the World Bank, serving as the communications specialist on an avian influenza task force. He wrote a preparedness plan for sub-Saharan offices, created a multi-stakeholder crisis communications simulation, and coordinated an international conference with representatives from Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and several other UN agencies. Prior to that, Mr. Rapaport held vice president and other marketing and communications positions for companies that include National Theater, Eisner LLP, and Young & Rubicam. Mr. Rapaport is earning a Masters in Communications from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. |
