Jennifer Hunt
Jennifer Hunt adds eight years of military and policy experience to Concepts' work on Veteran-related initiatives. Having served in both Iraq and Afghanistan, she offers a valuable perspective on the needs of returning Service Members and their families. Currently, she applies this knowledge in support of the National Resource Directory, an online resource that connects wounded warriors, Service Members, Veterans and their families to thousands of resources at the national, state and local levels that support recovery, rehabilitation and community reintegration.
Prior to joining the Concepts team, Jennifer served as a project coordinator for Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA). In this capacity, she helped IAVA's policy department shape and implement its legislative agenda and testified on Capitol Hill on behalf of the organization and the individuals it serves. She has a strong understanding of the particular challenges faced by female Veterans upon transition to civilian life, as well as the positive traits and talents their military experience brings to the campus or work environments.
Previously, Jennifer worked for the U.S. Department of Defense, providing service and resource assistance to the National Capitol Region, as well as the U.S. Department of Justice as a technical trainer.
She holds a B.A. in political science from American University in Washington, D.C., and continues to serve as a civil affairs specialist in the U.S. Army Reserve.
