Katherine DiGiovanni
Katherine DiGiovanni is an outreach and strategic communications consultant with more than 12 years of experience working with government agencies, nonprofits and the private sector. She has substantial experience in developing and implementing public education campaigns, as well as expertise in marketing strategy, media relations and program management.
Currently, Katherine works on several initiatives focused on improving employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, such as the Soft Skills and Accessible Technology in the Workplace projects. She also lends her expertise to America's Heroes at Work, a U.S. Department of Labor initiative that educates employers about the challenges of returning Service Members living with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and/or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Previously, Katherine worked on the Workforce Recruitment Program and assisted with the development of outreach and education strategies for the Job Accommodation Network and Disability.gov.
Before joining the Concepts team in June 2009, Katherine led and managed outreach efforts in Washington, D.C. at Safe Kids Worldwide, the Phillips Collection and the Council of Excellence in Government. Prior to that, she served as a policy coordinator at the Council of State Governments in its western regional office in San Francisco. Katherine holds a B.A. in history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. While living in Madison, she also worked as a non-partisan staff member in the Wisconsin State Assembly.
