| Katia Albanese
Katia Albanese is a public relations and government affairs professional who boasts extensive experience working with federal government agencies, congressional offices, military branches, trade associations, non-profit organizations and the media. She specializes in drafting and producing promotional materials, implementing media and congressional outreach campaigns; and managing federal partnership programs.
Currently, Ms. Albanese is part of the outreach teams for DisabilityInfo.gov, managed by the U.S. Department of Labor's (DOL) Office of Disability Employment Policy, and the America’s Heroes@Work project, a DOL education campaign that focuses on improving the employment outcomes of returning service members with traumatic brain injury and/or post-traumatic stress disorder. From 2001 through December 2005, Ms. Albanese led the Concepts team in support of DOL’s Compliance Assistance Initiative and was instrumental in the development and promotion of many of DOL's compliance tools including the elaws Advisors and the Department’s Employment Law Guide. In recognition of her service to DOL, Ms. Albanese received Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao’s Compliance Assistance Award of Excellence.
Ms. Albanese has also provided communications support to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). On behalf of the EPA Office of Research and Development’s National Center for Environmental Research, she helped promote the annual P3 (“People, Prosperity and the Planet”) Award Program and the National Sustainable Design Expo through media outreach and the development of a P3 video program. Ms. Albanese has also provided copywriting services and editorial support to the National Center for Healthy Housing (NCHH).
Prior to joining Concepts, Ms. Albanese was the vice president of marketing and business development for CMSCO Associates, a Washington, D.C. government affairs consulting firm. Ms. Albanese also provided consulting services to American Defense International, a Washington, D.C. lobbying firm, on issues focusing on defense and technology. Ms. Albanese graduated from American University with a B.S. in business administration with a concentration in finance. |
