Mike Greenberg
Mike Greenberg adds more than 30 years of Federal sector experience to the Concepts team and has particular expertise in Federal disability-related programs and services. He puts this knowledge to work as Project Director for Concepts’ support of Disability.gov, the award-winning Federal government Web site for people with disabilities, their families and others.
In this capacity, Mike develops strategies and tactics for creating and sustaining relationships with Federal, state and local government agencies, national organizations and their affiliates and oversees efforts to increase the Web site’s content. He also works to expand awareness of the site through traditional and social media and is responsible for measuring and evaluating project results. As part of this process, Mike regularly participates in meetings with Disability.gov’s 22 Federal partners and key stakeholders and presents at workshops and conferences.
Mike’s background combines an extensive knowledge of programs, services and organizations important to the disability community with experience planning, executing and evaluating public affairs activities. A former Deputy Associate Commissioner and senior communications advisor at the Social Security Administration (SSA), Mike directed numerous national projects involving people with disabilities and was a member of the leadership team that launched the Ticket to Work and Self-Sufficiency Program in 1999. He received many awards and citations for individual and team performance in his 32-year career at SSA.
Mike earned a B.A. in political science from Loyola College in Maryland and a graduate certificate in public relations from the University of Maryland University College. He also completed the Senior Executives Fellows Program at the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government. Mike is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and is active in its National Capital Chapter.
