Content Specialist
Concepts, Inc., (www.conceptspr.com) a woman-owned communications firm in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Content Specialist to work on the National Resource Directory (www.nrd.gov) project.
Primary responsibilities for this full-time position will include:
- Researching relevant content to add to a website created for the wounded warrior, Veteran and military communities
- Maintaining an intimate knowledge of website functionality and content database
- Representing, the National Resource Directory, clients and Concepts, Inc. in a professional manner throughout work with other contractors, federal partners and public stakeholders
- Additional duties as assigned in a small-team environment
Qualifications should include:
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Demonstrated strength in, research using open source methods, writing and editing techniques
- Experience in veterans and/or military affairs (a background in veterans' issues would be ideal)
- Experience in web content development and data management platforms.
- Familiarity with HTML code is preferred
- Veterans of the armed forces are highly encouraged to apply

- Proven research, writing and editing skills
- Be a self starter who is able to work independently as well as in a small team environment
- The ability to multi-task and anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment; strong organizational skills; and attention to detail
- An interest supporting all aspects of a growing business
- Knowledge of office protocol, appropriate business attire and business correspondence (memos, business letters, fax covers, etc.)
